Privacy Policy
What this site does — and does not — do with your information. In plain English.
The short version: ClaimTalk does not collect, store, or process any personal data about you. There are no cookies, no analytics, no contact forms, and no accounts. You can use this site without leaving any trace of your visit.
This policy exists because GDPR requires it — even for sites that collect nothing. It explains what that means in practice.
Who we are
ClaimTalk (claimtalk.co.uk) is a free, independent guidance site for personal injury claimants in England and Wales. It is not a law firm. It does not take cases. It is not affiliated with the Official Injury Claim portal, any insurer, or any claims management company.
This site is operated as a personal project in the public interest, providing free guidance to people navigating the OIC claims process without legal representation.
What data we collect
None. ClaimTalk does not collect any personal data from visitors.
| What you might expect | What ClaimTalk actually does |
|---|---|
| Cookies | None set. No cookie banner needed. |
| Analytics (Google Analytics etc.) | Not installed. No visitor tracking of any kind. |
| Contact forms | None. No data submitted to us. |
| User accounts / login | None. No registration required. |
| Email collection | None. No newsletter sign-up. |
| Third-party scripts | None loaded. No advertising networks, social widgets, or tracking pixels. |
| Server logs | Standard web server logs (IP address, page requested, timestamp) are retained by the hosting provider (Cloudflare) for security and abuse purposes. ClaimTalk does not access or process these logs. |
The tools on this site
ClaimTalk includes two interactive tools: the Check Where I Stand checker and the Limitation Calculator. Both run entirely in your browser. No data from either tool is transmitted anywhere. The answers you enter and the results you see remain on your device only and are discarded when you close the page.
Hosting and infrastructure
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process standard server request data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) as part of operating their network, for security and performance purposes. This is governed by Cloudflare's own privacy policy. ClaimTalk does not receive, store, or have access to this data.
Fonts and external resources
All fonts used on this site are self-hosted. No requests are made to Google Fonts, Adobe Fonts, or any other external font service. No external CSS, JavaScript, or other resources are loaded from third-party servers.
Your rights under UK GDPR
Because ClaimTalk does not collect or hold any personal data, the rights granted under UK GDPR — including access, erasure, portability, and objection — cannot practically be exercised, as there is nothing to access, erase, or transfer. If you believe this is incorrect, you are welcome to contact us.
The UK supervisory authority for data protection is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). You can find out more at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If the nature of this site changes in a way that affects privacy — for example, if a contact form or analytics were added — this policy would be updated before those changes went live. The last reviewed date is shown below.
Contact
This site does not have a public contact address. If you have a genuine privacy concern you cannot resolve through this policy, you may raise it with the ICO directly at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Last reviewed: March 2026. This site collects no personal data and therefore has no data retention schedule.
